6” Naval Base in Black

Although our WWII-era Naval clocks were originally designed for hanging on a wall, many customers asked us about being able to put them on desks and mantels, whether because they didn't have enough wall space or to make the clock easier to see. We designed the Naval Clock Base to serve this need. It will fit any Naval Collection item with a six-inch dial, including the original Naval Deck Clock, Radio Room Clock, Deck Tide Instrument and Deck Barometer.

The six-inch Naval Clock Base is easy to use - simply nestle the clock into the cradle and you're all set. No tools or hardware are necessary. The base is handcrafted from furniture-quality American hardwood with a matte black finish, a level bottom and an angled top that directs attention to the clock. The cradle and bottom are padded with velour to protect against scratches and scuffs. You can remove the clock from the base just as quickly as you added it, making your clock convertible between mantel and wall display.

Purchase this Naval Deck Clock Base if you already own a Naval clock that you want to turn into a desk clock or if the instrument you are considering does not come with a base. Add a flat engraving plate to the base for customization; we recommend our nickel-finished plates as this provides a nice contrast to the matte black.
