Overview
The Base and Ball Clock was the original name for a style that has lasted nearly all of Chelsea years in some form. The Base and ball Clock was later renamed the Commodore in 1917 and again renamed the Constitution.
This 9” Constitution Ship's Bell Clock was originally sold to Shreve, Crump & Low Company on December 19, 1921. This solid forged brass, bronze plated hinged bezel mechanical clock features a Ship’s Bell mechanism along with a beautiful hand-silvered 6" brass dial with painted numerals, and is marked “Shreve, Crump, and Low Co., Boston” Serial #146030.
