For nearly 130 years, Chelsea Clock has built, restored, and maintained some of America's most respected timepieces. Now, for a limited number of participants each year, Chelsea Clock is opening its doors for an immersive five-day educational experience unlike any other.

Join us inside our Chelsea, Massachusetts factory and learn directly from the craftsmen, restoration specialists, and manufacturing professionals who continue the traditions of American clockmaking.

Morning Session Welcome Breakfast & Orientation — meet fellow participants, program overview, welcome from Chelsea Clock leadership.

The Chelsea Clock Story — origins of the company, maritime heritage, military history, notable commissions, evolution of American clockmaking.

Lunch Hosted lunch with program instructors.

Afternoon Session Heritage Collection Experience — private viewing of historic Chelsea clocks, maritime instruments, military clocks, rare archives, and factory artifacts.

Interactive Discussion — why clocks matter, the role of precision timekeeping, collecting and preserving horological history.

Evening Welcome reception and networking.

Morning Session Clockmaking Fundamentals — introduction to mechanical clocks, quartz clocks, clock anatomy, gear trains, escapements, power systems.

Understanding Accuracy — regulation, calibration, environmental influences.

Afternoon Session Hands-On Movement Workshop — movement identification, component recognition, basic movement operation.

Morning Session The Art of Restoration — introduction to restoration philosophy, preservation principles, historical integrity, evaluation methods.

Case Studies — review of significant restoration projects completed by Chelsea Clock.

Chelsea Restoration Certificate

Upon successful completion of the program, participants are awarded the Chelsea Restoration Certificate. This certificate recognizes completion of Chelsea Clock's immersive educational experience and participation in the study of horology, craftsmanship, restoration principles, and the preservation of American clockmaking traditions.

The certificate is not a professional trade credential, but rather a recognition of personal achievement and commitment to learning.
