This stunning Chelsea Mariner timepiece originally sold to Dan G.J. King on December 8, 1939, features both brass and bronze elements with a 4.5-inch hand-silvered dial. Featuring an original Chelsea made striking Ship’s Bell mechanism, this clock’s base, case, and spokes are fashioned from forged solid brass, and the brass bezel opens with the original “shield” hinge and latch design. The brass base and inner wheel feature a rich bronze finish, while the back and sub-base are crafted from solid mahogany. The mechanical movement of this piece has been completely overhauled by Chelsea’s skilled clockmakers, the case has been refinished, the dial re-silvered and the wood refinished. Chelsea Clock official serial number: 252549. It comes with a 2 year warranty. The entire piece stands 14 “ tall and the base is 10 ¼” wide and weighs 15lbs.
