This 10” solid red brass clock is shown in a Waltham catalog as their Model #41. The silvered dial features Arabic numerals, spade hands, a two inch seconds orbit in the “Pilot House” style, surrounded by the engraved name Isabel and scrollwork. The movement, with eleven jeweled platform escapement, is die-stamped on the front plate with the Waltham Company name and serial #30017. The USS Isabel was commissioned by the United States Navy in 1917 for initial use as a destroyer. See Ship’s History. Mounted on round solid Mahogany plaque. See Video.
