When Do We Fall Back? The end of Daylight Saving Time 2016

The onset of Autumn means shorter days — the sun sometimes setting before we even leave the office for the night. This year, daylight saving time, which in March afforded us an extra hour of sunlight, comes to an end November 6. Although we’re rejoicing at the thought of an extra hour of sleep that night, the truth is afternoons will quickly fade into night with the sun setting earlier and earlier.

As it stands in the United States, DST begins at 2 a.m. on the second Sunday of March and ends at 2 a.m. on the first Sunday of November. The Energy Policy Act of 2005 (which went into effect in 2007) extended the length of DST by nearly a month, making those precious fall days even longer for a brief period of time.

With two weeks to go, how will you spend the last “long” days of the season?
