New York Harbor Regatta: A Race for Higher Learning

On Friday, October 4, 2013, hundreds of sailors and supporters from New York’s media, finance, education, food and wine, maritime, and business communities set sail on the 3rd annual New York Harbor Regatta to benefit the New York Harbor Foundation’s programs for students of the Harbor School, New York City’s only public maritime high school. And, for the second year in a row, Chelsea was proud to be an official trophy sponsor for this outstanding sailing competition. First-place winners in four different classes received the Chelsea Cable Paperweight Clock, specially engraved for the Regatta. The Regatta raised nearly $300,000 to help continue funding career and technical education, after school programs, college readiness and summer programs for students of the New York Harbor School. Congratulations to all!
