As the successor to the Eastman Clock Company, the Boston Clock Company of Maine was only in operation for eight months. This is one of three known clocks which survived that period. The case, dial and moon hands retain all of their original finishes. The seven jeweled movement has been expertly overhauled by our factory staff and comes with a 2 year warranty. Clock has a 4.5 inch dial and is made from solid brass. Dial is engraved with the words “John Bliss & Co, New York.” John Bliss was one of Chelsea’s first dealers and the recipient of the first Chelsea Ships Bell clock shipped from the factory.
Made by the Boston Clock Company of Maine, Serial # 306. Manufactured between October, 1896 and July, 1897.
